In Oct. 2023, we launched a new initiative for our young folks: Youth4Good, in which we gather together, share fellowship and plan and then engage in community service activities. These activities include, working with local food pantries and soup kitchens, services for the unhoused, environmental actions like clean-ups and tree-planting, engaging with senior citizens and more.
Attendees also get to socialize without their phones! This much needed time fosters true connection and friendships. Many studies have shown that young people feel more peaceful after they spend time away from their phones.
This group is open to youth from 10 to 17 years of age, and is open to kids from other congregations and schools as well.
